Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, is used across a wide range of industries, including chemical and mechanical industries, thermal and sanitary applications, and the production of electrical equipment.
Brass with higher zinc content (above 25-30%) has enhanced mechanical properties. Brass with 28% zinc, for instance, is commonly used in ammunition production.
Types of Brass Alloys:
OT 63: Contains 37% zinc, offering the highest workability for both cold and hot processing.
OT 67: Contains 33% zinc and is recommended for rolled products intended for deep-drawn parts, springs, and tubes.
